AGA SBS ASSESSMENT

Welcome to your first step in becoming an AGA-recognized educator in SBS!

Whether you’re delivering educational programs or simply using this training to supplement your current knowledge in SBS, you’ve made a great decision to join us in this path to enhancing clinical practice and patient care.

What to Expect From This Assessment

As a first step to becoming an AGA-recognized educator, please complete an assessment of your SBS knowledge to analyze your strengths and/or deepen understanding of particular SBS topics. As part of this assessment, you will answer a total of 22 questions across these domains:

  1. Epidemiology, Pathophysiology, and Etiology of SBS
  2. Clinical Manifestations and Prognosis
  3. SBS Treatment Strategies and Goals
  4. Treatment Advances for SBS
  5. Achieving and Maintaining Enteral Autonomy

Upon completion of this assessment, you’ll receive an “assessment summary” with personalized recommendations and resources. We suggest that you review these resources before proceeding to your next step. These assessment results are only available to you and will not become part of your educator profile should you opt-in to being listed in the AGA SBS Educator Directory.

What Are the Next Steps in My Educator Journey?

Once you’ve completed the assessment and reviewed your “assessment summary,” you’ll be guided to:

  • Access the AGA SBS Training Portal to
    • 1
      Review expert-developed SBS content highlights;
    • 2
      Review training materials on program facilitation strategies and adult learning principles to help you engage learners and support them in applying newly acquired knowledge to clinical practice; and
    • 3
      Learn how to build customized presentations using the ACHL CustomED® platform.
  • Download your AGA-recognized Educator in SBS certificate and decide if you want to opt-in to the AGA SBS Educator Directory through which trained individuals are matched with hospitals, regional societies, or other groups interested in receiving a presentation on SBS.
  • Begin building your presentations. With over 250 slides in the comprehensive SBS content library, you can continually tailor your SBS presentations to best meet the goals and needs of your audiences.
